UHart’s comprehensive academic support services include free, one-on-one faculty and peer tutoring through the Center for Student Success. Undergraduate and graduate students tutor in writing, chemistry, biology, math, physics, social sciences, engineering, business, foreign languages, and the performing arts.

We also provide individualized assistance to anyone in the University community who wants to develop efficient strategies for writing across the disciplines. Ask for support with generating ideas for papers, writing research papers, and organizing and editing drafts.

Preceptor Program

Preceptors work within introductory and/or critical gateway courses and can assist with a variety of things such as: leading discussions, running writing workshops, leading a lab section, overseeing a group project, running an exam review session and offering the instructor feedback around creating a classroom environment supportive of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and more.
